Q. What differentiates SPECIAL OPS from everything else?

A. The little things that make a huge difference. 

What’s the Mission? 

We create an environment where lost men are welcome, believers are challenged, and 

Committed Christians have an opportunity to lead. 

What’s the Strategy? 

We catch men in the flow of their everyday life, (on their way to work) 

We make rt for a guy to invite his friends. (It’s a place men want to come to) 

We give them something they can’t get anywhere else. (an experience the word of God) 

What’s the Format? 

60 minutes – not a minute more. 

Why 60 minutes? 

The most valuable resource a man has is his time. Honor his time you honor the man. 

If you can’t do it in 60 You probably shouldn’t be doing it 

What can you possible do in 60 minutes? 

Everything you NEED to do. 

What do you cover in sixty minutes? 

We cover ail of the vitals. (Fun, Fellowship, Participation, Word, Application) 

We mingle so that men have a chance to meet other men or talk to their friends. (15 minutes) 

We set up a powerful conversation where a man will put his thinking on display, (10 minutes) 

We give every man a chance to contribute, and personally interact with the Word (20 minutes) 

We wrap it up with one key thought and leave the application to the man.  (5 minutes) 

Total: 60 minutes 

Do you do the same thing every single time? 

Yes and No 

No two sessions are ever the same, but in order for a format to be successful if s got to be 

consistent -100% of the time. Therefore, we have a reason for everything we do and don’t do 

Q. Is your focus on having a powerful speaker? 

No. Our focus is on the men who walk in the door, (whether it’ 5 or 105) 

Q. How do you prove that? 

We give the men who walk in double the time than we do the speaker. 

Q. Why not a speaker? Wouldn’t a powerful speaker draw more men? 

Men will come to hear a man speak. 

Men will come back when they get heard. 

Q. Do you serve breakfast? 

Never – breakfast is a huge distraction. 

Won’t more men come if you provide a meal? 

Yes – so we give them a meal that’s better than breakfast. 

Q. Do you use the bible, books, or other materials. 

Bibles are there – but everything happens on a 3x5 card. 

Q. Why a 3x5 card? 

It totally levels the playing field putting all men on equal footing.

Q. What in the world could you do on a 3x5 card? 

- We easily draw men in 

- We learn how they think

- We give them the dignity of participation without preemption 

- They interact directly with a verse of scripture. 

- They leave with a piece of God’s word that sticks

Q. So, Is SPECIAL OPS a bible study? 

No – it’s a verse study- from the word. 

Q. What’s another benefit? 

It gives a man a place to have his own personal ministry. 

It’s a natural training ground for leaders. 

It gives the men who lead a small group skill they’ll use the rest of their lives.
